Application of Nitrogenous Fertilizer in Rice Production: A Review

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is one of the world's most important cereal crops. Nitrogen plant nutrients for rice. Different forms nitrogenous fertilizer are major sources in rice production. affects various physiological and biochemical processes cells that ultimately affect growth development and, thereby, grain yield production can be increased by applying either as organic or inorganic at an appropriate dose, time, method, place. Soil testing needed to assess nutritional status soil it affected crop nutrient uptake removal. Nitrogenous fertilizers should applied multiple split doses depending upon soil, demand, nutrients. To reduce nitrogen loss from fields, surface runoff, denitrification, ammonium volatilization, leaching managed. Sustainable environmentally friendly management practices enhance sustainable fertility yields. This review article examines impact on growth, development, production, along with time applications will help agricultural technicians, academicians, farmers, policy makers.
